MY STAY IN FRANCE
Chapter One
The bleu, blanc, rouge country, France, is the epicenter of culture, art, and history. I arrived in this European country in August 2017. My career path met with my intense love for traveling in France. The France of Lonely Planet came into life when I spotted the city of Paris from the airplane. Tears flew as I saw the Eiffel Tower nearing me.
I spent four months in France, the country that offers the Joie de Vivre.
I experienced a mix of everything – from history to adventure, from études to cultural exchange and from witnessing art to becoming an amateur artist. My stay in France was a short one, but the journey – a long one!
I took a shot of everything. In Cergy, I drove around the lakes in a vélo, which froze my hands beyond imagination. I learned a bit of the language through conversations at the same time faced difficult situations of language barrier.
My days religiously started with a croissant and a Chocolat Chaud. In Cergy, was my school, the center of knowledge and aspirations. Walking to the metro station and then to the school, wearing a manteau and thigh-length boots, was my favorite part.
My favorite course was Luxury Retail Management. In the intensive week with Professor Denis Morisset, I learned tons about Luxury Marketing. I learned about various brands, and about their history. I spent a lot of time in school.
I spent my evenings shopping in Auchan or Casino (the supermarkets) for groceries. I would always grab a pack of my favorite- Madeleines! Cergy was a house of beautiful lakes and Jardins. It was also my home. I spent hours painting and dreaming in my petite Chambre.
